The Professional Regulation Commission through the Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture (PRBOA) adopted and promulgated the Architect's Credo, amending for the purpose Board Resolution No. 2, series of 2006,  entitled "Adoption and Promulgation of the Code of Ethical Conduct for Registered and Licensed Architects and for holders of Temporary/Special Permits under Republic Act No. 9266, known as the Architecture Act of 2004".

Thr Board through PRBOA Resolution No. 05, series of 2018 underscored that the Architect's Credo as a compendium of principles, beliefs and values that architects are expected to adhere to in the conduct of their personal and professional dealings, is needed to be updated to be attuned to the present times.

It may be recalled that the said amended version was endorsed by the United Architects of the Philippines through NBD Board Resolution No. 99, series of 2017-2018 for consideration of the PRC and the Board of Architecture.

In 2009, the PRBOA issued Resolution No. 13, series of 2009 issued resolution reverting the Architect's Credo to the original Architect's Code of Ethics (1979 UAP Doc. 200 Code of Ethical Conduct).
