PRC accredits 25 CPD providers for architecture

In compliance with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10912 otherwise known as the "Continuing Professional Act of 2016", the Professional Regulation Commission through the CPD Council for Architecture accredited twenty-five CPD providers for architecture profession, which include: United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), AIDEA INC., DEEDS Construct Plus Co., EAROPH Philippines, Extension Services Program - College of Architecture, University of the Philippines, Green Architecture Advocacy Phils., Inc., International Council on Monuments and Sites, J3 Trainers and Consultants Inc., JARG Web Design - Jeremiah Jomarc Baquiran, LGG Review Center, MEPFS Engineers CPD Provider, Microcadd Institute Inc., National Real Estate Assoc. Inc., Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Promanage Inc., Ramdex Architectural Services, RS Project Management Consulting & Training Services, Sofa College of Interior Design, Inc., University of Santo Tomas ( Center for Continuing Professional Education and Development), USC Department of Architecture Center for Continuing Education, Project Management Institute Philippines Chapter, WTA Architecture and Design Studio, Philippines Society of Plumbing Engineers (PSPE), Inc., ICONS Events & Productions Group, Corp. and the National Housing Authority.

According to the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 10912, to obtain accreditation as CPD Provider, the following qualifications shall be met:

Applying as Individual or a Single Proprietorship: 

  • A registered and licensed professional of good standing
  • Non-conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude
  • Registered with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Bureau of Internal Revenue, and
  • Such other requirements and conditions as the CPD Council may reasonably require.
     

Applying as a Local Firm/Partnership/Corporation:

  • A duly registered partnership, corporation, institution or organization
  • The Articles of Incorporation/Partnership shall include as one of its purposes the training and development of professionals; or in the case of commercial or industrial
  • enterprises, provides for the training and development of its own professional
  • Duly registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Securities and Exchange Commission and/or other pertinent government bodies, and
  • Such other requirements and conditions as the CPD Council may reasonably require.
     

Applying as a Foreign Corporation:

  • Any government institution/agency with programs on CPD for professionals; and
  • Such other requirements and conditions as the CPD Council may reasonably require

Applying as a Foreign Corporation:

  • A duly registered entity, firm or association in the country/state of the applicant that has proven that it has existing capability and sustainability to provide CPD program/s through in-house training and development of professionals; and
  • Such other requirements and conditions as the CPD Council may reasonably require.
