UIA AND WORLD GREEN BUILDINGS COUNCIL SIGN MOU

The International Union of Architects (UIA) and World Green Building Council (WGBC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the UIA Council meeting in Sydney, Australia, January 18, 2010.

This protocol defines the terms of the collaboration between the two organisations, which have decided to create a partnership and jointly contribute to improving energy efficiency and to reduce emissions of greenhouse gas in major cities worldwide.

Through regular exchange of information UIA and WorldGBC will work to foster a green built environment in terms of architectural and urban design and management, and to contribute in creating a sustainable carbon neutral society.
